play host to a multitude of events

organised by and associated

with the local clubs and communities.

 

All of these recreational activities are organised

to be participated in,

and there is always a warm and friendly feeling

towards those who contribute.

The Village Festivals

 

Each Village takes one week and fills it full of fun

entertainment and activities, lots of things to see and do

which involves both the resident and the visitor.

 

The Fleadh

A revival of the Irish Culture

through Dancing, Traditional Music and Language.

 

 

The Ceili Dance

 

An appreciation of Irish Dance and Music.

 

 

Treasure Hunts

 

Its not a race! but, Get in your car, put your foot down

and your thinking hat on

to get around a brain teasing route

finding the answers to those impossible clues.

 

 

Bar Quiz

 

Just about every bar in the area hosts a quiz

some night in the week

a great venue to pit your wits

against the disingenuous quiz-master.

The Hill Rambles - Challenge Lurig, Glendun or Glenariff or one of the many other paths to the hills and far beyond.

Fishing Competitions - Use your skill and patience to catch one of those elusive Brown Trout or even Salmon!
